Maldives welcomes over 180,000 visitors in July, highest since February

July recorded the highest number of tourist arrivals since February this year, according to statistics from the Ministry of Tourism.

A total of 184,734 tourists visited Maldives last month. While this is 1.9 percent lower than July last year, it is higher than the arrivals recorded in April, May and June.

Tourist arrivals by month this year are as follows:  

  • January: 227,403  

  • February: 254,556  

  • March: 166,616  

  • April: 152,861  

  • May: 142,555  

  • June: 125,891  

  • July: 184,734  

February remains the strongest month of the year, with arrivals up 17.7 percent compared to the same period last year.

April saw the lowest arrivals, recording a 24.4 percent decline compared to April last year.

So far this year, Maldives has welcomed 1.26 million tourists, a 4.5 percent decrease compared to the same period in 2025. Daily arrivals averaged 5,924, down from 6,202 last year.
