Maldivian flag in the Lankan Embassy has been drawn to half-mast on account of the tragic event of Easter Sunday blasts of Sri-Lanka that killed over hundreds of people last Sunday.

Foreign Minister Abdulla Shahid tweeted that he condemns the heinous terroristic attacks and send deepest condolences to the people of Sri-Lanka and affected families. He said that the Maldivians are with Sri-Lankans in this tragic event.

Sri-Lankan government has made this Monday a national day of commemoration due to the Sunday blasts.

Death toll of the blast has reached 320 with more than 500 injured. Twenty-four have been arrested on account of the explosions that shook 8 areas of Sri-Lanka.

The security of the country has been heightened with the terror.
