Maldives Police Service has launched an online portal for application of police clearance certificate.

The portal was launched in an event held last Tuesday by Commissioner of Police Mohamed Hameed.

The portal was launched under the five-year Strategic Plan of Police to provide services to the public with more convenience and speed.

Speaking in the ceremony, Commissioner said that the portal will make obtaining police clearance certificates more convinient to the public.

MPS states that the introduction of the portal will enable those living in the country and abroad to apply for the police clearance certificate online and be provided with suitable services in a timely manner.

To make the Police Certificate service even more convenient and satisfactory, the service will now be available in both Galolhu and Maafannu Police Stations along with the institutes that provide the service now. The new changes in the administrative steps of the certificate will make the service more convinient for the public.

The Portal is expected to reduce the time spent to get a Police Certificate by 50 percent.
