EC establishes advisory committee for Parliamentary Elections

Elections Committee (EC) has established a national advisory committee for the Parliamentary Elections 2019 and scheduled the first meeting of the committee for coming Monday.

The report has been confirmed by member and spokesperson of EC, Ahmed Akram.

The last national advisory committee set up by EC for Presidential Elections 2018 had been made up of a representative each from the six registered political parties at the time and 10 independent institutions and organizations.

The national advisory committee this time will have 21 members; a representative each from the six previous political parties, 10 institutions, the two new registered political parties, an organization for development of women, and an organization for persons with disabilities.

The first meeting of the committee has been scheduled for 10:30 am on Monday at the EC headquarters.

Parliamentary Elections 2019 will be held on April 6.
