EC: Over 86,000 re-registration forms received

Elections Commission has said that over 86,000 re-registration forms have been received to the Commission of the Presidential Election this September. 

Speaking at the inauguration of the trainer's training program by the Elections Commission, President of the Commission, Ahmed Shareef, said that 86,000 forms were submitted when the office closed last night and is believed to reach close to 100,000. 

Shareef said that the re-registration for this election is almost double compared to the previous elections and it shows the support for this Presidential Election. 

Condemning the people who try to raise questions on the integritiy of the Election, the President of the Elections Commission said that no individual has been noted regarding the registrations. 

Elections Commission is set to accept registration forms until 12 a.m. tonight.
