Abdulla Shaahid faces obstruction charges

MP for North Henveiru constituency, Abdulla Shaahid, has been summoned by the police under suspicion of obstructing law enforcement officers. 

According to the summon notice, Shaahid is facing obstruction charges in relation to his actions at the opposition rally on Friday held on Majeedhee Magu. 

Police has raised suspicion against MP Shaahid of attempting to incite violence, obstruct traffic with the rally and obstruct police duties at the junction of Majeedhee Magu and Sosun Magu. 

At the opposition rally last Friday, Police arrested Shaahid and took him to Dhoonidhoo and was released the following day.
