President Yameen sends message of sympathy to US President

President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has sent a message of sympathy to the President of the United States of America, Barack Obama, following the nightclub attack in Orlando, Florida.

The President said that he was deeply shocked and saddened to learn of the attacks in Orlando causing the tragic loss of life and injury to many.

“The Maldives strongly condemns such acts of terror and violence perpetuated against innocent people and believes that they serve no purpose other than causing absolute misery, instilling fear and distress.” The President’s message said.

And the President sent deepest sympathies to the Government and people of the United States during this challenging time on behalf of himself and the Maldivian people.
