Govt. announces sale of 48 land plots acquired under Veshi Fahi program

Housing Ministry has announced plans to sell 48 land plots brought under state ownership through the Veshi Fahi Malé programme, with priority given to the legal heirs of the original properties and owners of adjoining plots.

In an official announcement, the Ministry stated that eligible parties can apply to purchase the plots in accordance with the regulations governing the sale of land acquired by the state under the programme.

The regulations were initially gazetted on June 28, 2021.

Of the 48 plots available for purchase, 21 are located in Maafannu, nine in Henveiru, seven in Galolhu and one in Villingili.

The Ministry has set the selling price at MVR 2,000 per square foot.

Interested parties must submit completed application forms along with the required documentation by 14:00 hours this Sunday.
