Record £322,000 booking to holiday in Sun Siyam Irufushi

Clarendon Travel, a private travel agency based in Nottinghamshire, UK, has secured a record-breaking Maldives holiday booking worth more than £322,000 (MVR 6,654,307.10).

The booking, made in partnership with luxury travel operator "If Only," represents the highest-value single transaction in Clarendon Travel’s 30-year history. The reservation was made for a family of 14 staying for 10 nights at Sun Siyam Iru Fushi in the Maldives to celebrate the New Year. The package also includes business-class flights for all members of the group.

Located in Noonu Atoll, Sun Siyam Iru Fushi is a luxury resort known for its natural surroundings and upscale facilities. The resort offers a serene setting for both families and couples, with a range of high-end dining options, wellness services, and curated experiences.

The booking was handled by Clarendon Travel consultant Gemma Robinson, with assistance from store managers Penny Jennings and Debbie Hovick.

Jennings described the booking, which exceeded £322,000, as a major milestone for the team. She also highlighted the role of the agency’s partnership with established operator ‘If Only’ in ensuring a seamless and premium experience for the clients.

Sun Siyam Resorts, which operates Iru Fushi, is a wholly Maldivian-owned company established in 1990 by Ahmed Siyam Mohamed. The company currently operates five luxury resorts in the Maldives: Sun Siyam Iru Fushi, Siyam World, Sun Siyam Olhuveli, Sun Siyam Iru Veli, and Sun Siyam Vilu Reef. The group also operates Sun Siyam Pasikudah in Sri Lanka. Known for its focus on authentic Maldivian hospitality, Sun Siyam is among the prominent brands in the Maldives tourism industry.
