Dhiraagu has reminded that registration for the highly anticipated Dhiraagu Maldives Road Race (DMRR) 2026 will close on September 30th.

With registrations capped at 4,000 participants, those interested in taking part in the Maldives’ largest running event have just 15 days remaining to secure their places.

The race is scheduled to take place on Friday, November 20th, at Hulhumalé Central Park. Participants can register for the Half Marathon, 10K, 5K Open, as well as the newly introduced team categories through dmrr.dhiraagu.com.mv.

The four new team categories are Corporate Teams, Resort Teams, Running Clubs, and Colleges and Universities. Each team will comprise four runners, with a champion to be crowned in each category. A total of MVR 296,000 in cash prizes will be awarded to winners across all race categories.

Continuing its longstanding commitment to social causes, DMRR 2026 will once again be dedicated to child protection, a key focus of Dhiraagu’s social responsibility program. The event will also provide a platform for NGOs to promote children’s rights and raise funds in support of their respective causes.

DMRR is the first international running event held in the Maldives and is featured on the Association of International Marathons and Distance Races (AIMS) World Running Calendar, with a World Athletics-certified race route. As the country’s largest annual running event, DMRR attracts runners and communities from across the Maldives and overseas.
