A woman has died following a gas leak in a Male’ home.
Maldives Police Service told Sun that it received a report at approximately 10:34am on Thursday morning after were found ‘weak’ at a resident in Dilkhushaa Goalhi, in Malé's Maafannu district.
According to the Police, Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) confirmed that one of the two individuals transported to hospital has died. The deceased was identified as Zahida Thaufeeq, 51, Dhafthar No. RS 6210, Male’.
The Police added that a 19-year-old woman who was also impacted the incident is currently receiving medical treatment at ADK Hospital.
The incident is under further investigation.
