All students who suffered from food poisoning during a cadet camp at Addu Feydhoo School last Monday have been discharged after receiving medical treatment.

A total of 31 students were admitted to various healthcare facilities in Addu City, including Feydhoo Health Centre, Maradhoo Health Centre, and Addu Equatorial Hospital (AEH), after developing symptoms such as vomiting and diarrhea.

AEH confirmed to Sun on Thursday that all affected students have recovered and have subsequently been discharged.

Although the hospital confirmed that the illnesses were caused by food poisoning, officials said the specific source of the contamination can only be determined once the pending test results are received.

A parent told Sun that the incident involved students from Grades 7 and 8 at Feydhoo School.
