Civil Court judge Abdulla Ihusan: The court's employees filed a case with the JSC against him, November 30, 2025.
The Judicial Service Commission (JSC) has suspended Civil Court Judge Abdulla Ihusaan for 60 days in connection with a sexual harassment case under investigation.
In a statement issued following media reports on his suspension, the JSC said Judge Ihusaan was temporarily relieved of his duties due to a case that included allegations of sexual harassment lodged against him.
The Commission said that after taking Ihusaan’s statement and obtaining statements from other individuals required for the investigation, it appeared that allowing him to continue in his post could hinder the inquiry.
“In light of the nature of the case and the information available to the investigation, Judge Ihusaan’s continued employment may obstruct the investigation,” the statement said.
The JSC said the suspension was imposed on the basis of maintaining public confidence in the judiciary.
