Police detain 25 year old accused of knocking down a motorcycle and damaging five cars in Phase II

A man has been arrested for damaging parked cars in Hulhumale'.

A 25‑year‑old man has been arrested for allegedly damaging vehicles parked near Kaamil Didi Primary School (KPS) in Hulhumale' Phase II. The suspect has been identified as Hussain Laiz Adnan, Falas, S. Feydhoo.

Police said they received a call at 07:36 a.m. on Friday reporting that someone was damaging cars in the area. Officers patrolled the location and found a group of people restraining a man in front of the Rainbow site on Nirolhu Magu.

He is accused of knocking down a motorcycle and causing damage to five parked cars along Nirolhu Magu. Police have not yet disclosed a motive for the incident.

Hussain Laiz Adnan was taken before the court for a remand decision, and the court ordered him to be held in custody for 15 days.

Police said the case is under further investigation.
