Fenaka Corporation has officially handed over the utility services of all islands in Meemu atoll to STELCO.
On Sunday, STELCO formally took over the utility services of Dhiggaru, Kolhufushi, Maduvvari, Muli, Naalaafushi, Raiymandhoo and Veyvah.
STELCO Managing Director Dr. Ali Azwar signed the agreement on behalf of the company, while Fenaka was represented by its Managing Director Mohamed Afeef Hussain.
STELCO said the transfer was carried out as part of the government’s efforts to improve public service delivery in the islands.

The Ministry of Finance has already transferred utility services in Baa and Lhaviyani atolls from Fenaka to STELCO under the same restructuring initiative.
STELCO currently provides utility services in the Greater Male' Region, as well as several islands in Kaafu, Alif Alif, Alif Dhaalu and Vaavu atolls.
