Tree Top celebrates 100 IVF babies, a major breakthrough three years after opening

Tree Top Hospital’s Fertility Centre has marked a major milestone, celebrating the birth of 100 babies conceived through IVF and IUI, a development the hospital describes as a breakthrough in fertility care in the Maldives.

According to the hospital, the Fertility Centre, established on May29, 2023, has transformed access to reproductive healthcare by enabling couples to receive advanced fertility treatment locally, eliminating the financial, emotional and logistical burdens of travelling abroad for care. 

Tree Top Hospital said reaching 100 IVF/IUI births within three years reflects both the trust placed in the Centre by families across the country and the dedication of its highly skilled fertility team. 

The hospital noted that the 100th birth represents more than a statistic, it symbolizes hope, perseverance and the realization of parenthood dreams for one hundred families who entrusted their fertility journey to the Centre. Each successful pregnancy and birth stands as a testament to the expertise of its specialists, embryologists, nurses and support staff. 

Dr. Anita Gour, Specialist in Reproductive Medicine and Infertility at the Fertility Centre, said the achievement is a proud moment for both the team and the Maldives.
