The Foundation of Eydhafushi Youth Linkage (FEYLI), which won last year’s Bank Fund, has further developed the vocational training lab at Baa Atoll Education Centre and established a modern digital studio at the school.

The two classrooms are designed to enhance students’ practical skills and creativity, and to strengthen their work ethic by offering training with state‑of‑the‑art facilities.

The new digital studio is equipped as a complete production setup with digital cameras. It will offer specialised training programmes in photography, videography and digital content creation for students.

In addition, FEYLI has upgraded the school’s existing vocational training lab with new facilities. The lab now includes a carpentry section equipped with carpentry tools, battery‑powered electric tools and safety gear. New sewing boxes and other sewing equipment have also been installed in the sewing section.

The vocational lab activities will provide structured training programmes for students, marking an important step in preparing them for practical, skills‑based fields.

The Bank Fund is an annual grant opened by the Bank of Maldives (BML) for registered associations to implement community development projects. The bank provides MVR 200,000 each to five selected organisations.
