Bank of Maldives (BML) confirmed on Wednesday evening that its mobile application and internet banking services are currently facing interruptions due to a technical issue.
The national bank addressed the outage in a post on ‘X’ at 7:44 PM, stating that they are working to resolve the matter as soon as possible.
“Due to a technical issue, customers are facing interruptions to our Mobile and Internet Banking services. We are working to resolve this as soon as possible and our apologies for the inconvenience caused,” the bank stated.

The digital services have reportedly been unavailable for over an hour, leaving many customers unable to perform essential transactions. Following the disruption, several users took to social media to express concerns over the lack of access to their accounts.
BML has not yet specified a timeline for when services will be fully restored.
