Visit Maldives Corporation (VMC) has successfully concluded its inaugural Superyacht Promotion Campaign, marked by a strong presence at two of the world’s most prestigious yachting events—the MYBA Charter Show and the Monaco Yacht Show.
Launched in late 2025, the campaign was strategically designed to position the Maldives as a premier destination for luxury yacht tourism, with direct engagement targeting high-net-worth individuals, yacht owners, charter brokers, and key industry stakeholders.
A central component of the campaign was its on-ground activation at leading global yacht shows. Visit Maldives showcased the destination’s distinctive superyacht offerings at both the MYBA Charter Show and the Monaco Yacht Show, where tailored promotional materials—including a dedicated mini brochure and branded assets—were distributed directly to industry professionals and onboard vessels. These platforms facilitated direct interaction with decision-makers in the global yachting community and significantly enhanced destination visibility.
In parallel, the campaign featured a comprehensive digital rollout under the theme “Superyacht Destination Maldives,” supported by a dedicated content platform, targeted social media outreach, and direct marketing to yacht captains and brokers. The integration of a strong physical presence at major yacht shows with digital amplification ensured extensive international exposure.
Further strengthening its global positioning, Visit Maldives also participated in strategic initiatives such as the Superyacht Spice Route platform, reinforcing the Maldives’ relevance along key international maritime routes and increasing its visibility among elite yachting networks.
Performance tracking across digital platforms, industry engagement, and event participation indicates strong outcomes, with notable growth in reach, inquiries, and stakeholder interest following activations at both the MYBA Charter Show and the Monaco Yacht Show.
VMC’s CEO, MD Ibrahim Shiuree said Maldives’ participation in globally recognised platforms such as the MYBA Charter Show and Monaco Yacht Show has been instrumental in positioning the Maldives within the international superyacht circuit.
“These engagements allow us to directly connect with the global yachting community and strengthen our presence in this high-value segment,” he added.
Building on this momentum, Visit Maldives will continue to expand its presence at key international yacht shows, strengthen industry partnerships, and implement targeted campaigns to attract superyacht traffic to the Maldives. This initiative supports the broader strategy of diversifying the tourism portfolio and increasing high-value visitor segments to the destination.
