The Housing Ministry on Wednesday opened applications for flats in a new category designated for persons with disabilities under the ‘Aailee Boahiyaavahikan’ housing program.
The Housing Ministry opened applications for its new housing scheme in January, offering 15,000 land plots and 7,900 flats from the greater Male’ area.
A designated category was created in March to reserve 100 of the flats for persons with disabilities.

Under this category, persons with disabilities may apply even if they do not currently reside in Male', provided they are unable to access necessary treatment in their home island or if their family’s financial situation prevents them from living in Male'. Residents of Male' who have received treatment within the past year are also eligible to apply.
