Elderly man drowns while out fishing in Fiyoaree

An elderly man drowned on Saturday, while out catching fish with a net in GDh. Fiyoaree.

The incident was reported to the police at around 01:42 am Saturday.

The police identified the deceased as Mohamed Hussain, 79, Gahaakoalhi, GDh. Fiyoaree.

He was already deceased when taken to the Fiyoaree Health Center, said the police, quoting health officials.

The police are looking into the death.
