Four injured after speeding car overturns in Addu’s Hithadhoo reclaimed area

Four people were injured on Saturday after a speeding car overturned in the reclaimed area of Hithadhoo, Addu City.

Police said the accident was reported at 4:50 pm.

All four occupants of the vehicle sustained injuries of varying severity. They are receiving treatment at Addu Equatorial Hospital, while the driver is reported to have suffered serious injuries, according to police.

Authorities have launched an investigation into the crash.

Addu has seen multiple dangerous accidents in recent years, many linked to speeding, some resulting in severe injuries and fatalities.
