During a visit to Dhidhoo in late January last year, President Muizzu told residents that developing an airport in Dhidhoo was a key component of the government’s regional development policy. He pledged that the project would be completed at speed and said he would return to the island to inaugurate the airport on its first flight.
Dhidhoo lies approximately 15–20 minutes by launch from Hanimaadhoo International Airport.
