Crystal Symphony, an ultra-luxury cruise ship operated Crystal Cruises, arrived in the Maldivian capital on Wednesday with over 500 tourists.

The Bahamas-flagged ship, measuring 238 meters in length and 32 meters in width, arrived in Male’ from Port Victoria in Seychelles at 06:00 pm Wednesday.

According to Maldives Immigration, it gave en-route immigration clearance services for 548 passengers and 489 crew members aboard the ship.

The ship is set to depart from Male’ to Sri Lankan capital Colombo at 07:00 pm Thursday.

Refurbished last year, the Crystal Symphony is a smaller, intimate vessel featuring butler service in all suites, acclaimed dining including Nobu Matsuhisa’s Umi Uma, a 3,000 square feet fitness center, and a high space-to-guest ratio.

The ship also made a visit to the Maldives back in January with over 400 tourists, marking the arrival of the first cruise liner of the year.

The Maldives has been seeing frequent cruise ships in recent weeks. While cruise agents previously complained of lack of facilities in Male’ to cater to passengers, they say the expansion and upgrade of the Male’ ring road provides some solution to the issue.
