Housing Development Corporation (HDC) has reopened the temporary Roadha Market in Hulhumale' after completing a series of upgrades aimed at improving convenience and safety for vendors and shoppers during Ramadan.
The temporary market, located between the temporary mosque and Vinares Tower 8 in Hulhumale' Phase II, has been redesigned to better accommodate the high Ramadan demand.
According to HDC, the revamped market now features expanded stall areas, improved waste‑management systems, and wider circulation space to ease crowding during peak shopping hours. The corporation said the upgrades were designed to create a cleaner, more organised environment while supporting the needs of small vendors.

The market has also been fitted with enhanced lighting, designated zones for different product categories, and improved access routes to ensure smoother movement within the space.

The corporation noted that the temporary market will continue to serve residents until permanent market facilities are completed.
