STO People’s Choice Hulhumale’ opens in time for Ramadan

State Trading Organization (STO) has opened an outlet of its supermarket chain in the populous Hulhumale’.

The STO People’s Choice Hulhumale’ opened on Tuesday night in a ceremony attended by Economic Minister Mohamed Saeed, STO’s CEO Shimad Ibrahim, and other top officials from the company.

The outlet, located at the Rain Coral Residence in Reethigas Magu, opened just in time for Ramadan.

In a statement on Wednesday, STO said that it had been receiving complaints from numerous people regarding the lack of its presence in Hulhumale’, given the suburb’s growing population.

STO believes its new outlet will improve access to its products for the tens of thousands of people who live in Hulhumale’.

STO said that in addition to rice, sugar, and flour, the 23 items added to the list of essential food items will be available from its Hulhumale’ outlet as well.

And so will other brands sold at the STO People’s Choice Male’ outlet, as well as home improvement products from reputable brands such as Hitachi and Philips.

The company also plans to begin wholesale of essential food items from its Hulhumale’ outlet in the near future.

STO People’s Choice Hulhumale’ will be open from 04:00 pm to 10:00 pm on Fridays, and from 08:30 am to 10:00 pm the rest of the week.
