FM Zameer undergoes surgery

Finance Minister Moosa Zameer underwent surgery on Wednesday, and is currently recovering at the hospital.

This was confirmed by the Finance Ministry in a statement in the morning.

The ministry did not provide any details regarding the surgery, describing it only as “an elective medical procedure.”

According to the ministry, the surgery went well, and Zameer is in good condition and recovering at the hospital.

“Elective procedures are planned in advance and carried out as part of routine medical care. The procedure was completed successfully, and the Minister is in good condition and recovering at the hospital,” reads the statement.

 The ministry said that Zameer is expected to return to office next week.

The Finance Ministry did not disclose the hospital where Zameer underwent surgery, including whether it was local or overseas.
