Hisaan resigns as MDP’s vice president

Hisaan Hussain, Vice President of the Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP), has resigned from her post on Thursday. Hisaan has formally submitted her resignation letter to MDP’s Chairperson Mohamed Nasheed. She was appointed MDP’s Vice President in July 2024 following the resignation of the party’s former Vice President Mohamed Shifaz. In her resignation letter, Hisaan noted that under the current MDP Charter, the Vice
