Nexia Maldives has opened registration for the upcoming Kurimagu Salla meetings in the Male’ area, inviting public participation and consultation for the country’s next 20-year national development plan 'Viluntheri Raajje' (resilient Maldives).
The meetings will be held in Male’ and Hulhumale’, covering both Phase I and Phase II. Registration links have been shared via Nexia’s official social media platforms.

According to Nexia, the sessions will be conducted as interactive workshops, with participants engaging in group activities. Insights and feedback will be gathered from these group discussions.

The purpose of these meetings is to understand public perceptions of the country’s future and explore how key sectors may evolve by 2045. Focus areas include education, healthcare, the economy, environmental sustainability, urban development, transport, and communications.
So far, Kurimagu Salla sessions have been successfully held in over 100 islands across the Maldives, with contributions from a wide range of participants across different age groups and professional backgrounds.
Nexia Maldives reports that its teams are currently active in six regions, and meetings are expected to be held in all inhabited islands within the next four weeks.
In addition to the Kurimagu Salla workshops, Nexia has opened other avenues for public participation in the national development plan. These include an online survey and the submission of scientific papers and proposals. High-quality research submissions will be published alongside the final development plan.
The project has been commissioned by the Ministry of Finance and Planning and is being implemented by Nexia Maldives.
