According to Maldivian, seaplane operations to Kamadhoo will officially commence next week’s Thursday with scheduled seaplane flights each Thursday and Saturday.
Kamadhoo, where local tourism is developing, is frequented by both tourists and locals. There are several guesthouses in Kamadhoo, including two high-end guesthouses operated by Hawks.
The only airport in Baa Atoll is located at Dharavandhoo, another island where local tourism is booming.
Residents of islands without airports desire the development of airports on their islands. However, many oppose building airports on every island due to the significant financial costs and environmental damage caused by land reclamation.
Notably, seaplane service was launched to AA. Thoddoo last February as well.
