Pres. Muizzu departs on three-day Alifu Alifu Atoll tour

President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu, on Tuesday, has departed on a three-day tour of Alifu Alifu Atoll as part of a series of visits to islands to identify the development needs across the Maldives and meet and inquire about the well-being of residents.

According to the President’s Office, the President will visit eight residential islands in Alifu Alifu Atoll as part of this tour: Thoddoo, Rasdhoo, Ukulhas, Mathiveri, Bodufolhudhoo, Feridhoo, Maalhos, and Himandhoo.

During these visits, the President will meet with the local councils, Women’s Development Committees (WDCs), and local residents to discuss community development needs and priorities. He will also engage directly with residents to inquire about their well-being.

The President is accompanied by a high-level government delegation, including cabinet ministers.

The tour falls under the President’s initiative to tour all Maldivian atolls and engage directly with councils at the island, atoll, and city levels.

His most recent tour in this trajectory was to Baa Atoll last week.
