Maldivian fusion band 2ofus has departed to India to participate in the live auditions for the eleventh season of India’s Got Talent, one of India’s biggest talent shows.

The live auditions for India’s Got Talen will be held at Nahar International School in Mumbai.

The band is comprised of five members, Ahmed Adhuham, Abdulla Shamrooh, Mohamed Nasoor bin Nasrudheen, Ahmed Shaheed (Shaheed Legacy) and Ahmed Jasheem.

Speaking during an interview with SSTV while at Velana International Airport to depart to India, 2ofus’ frontman and lead singer Adhuham said the band was delighted by the additional opportunities to represent the Maldives.

Adhuham affirmed the band’s commitment to improving their performances day by day. He assured that the band is fully prepared to represent the Maldives in the competition.

In this regard, Adhuham detailed that the band is eyeing the first place in the competition, adding they were undertaking all efforts necessary to realize this goal.

“By the will of Almighty, we will show Maldives is not a small place. Please support us. God willing, we will return with first place,” he said.

Adhuham emphasized that public support for the band is steadily growing. He noted that the band’s achievements represent not just their own success, but a broader victory for the entire nation.

Apart from Adhuham, the other members of the band also appealed for support, assuring they will work towards securing first place.

2ofus gained traction for their performances in Battle of the Bands International 2025 – one of Asia’s biggest music competitions – eventually going on to place second runner-up in the competition. The band also garnered international attention, proving Maldivian bands are not any inferior to international bands.

Notably, 2ofus has been shortlisted for Britain’s Got Talent Season 19.

Although 2ofus is a fusion band that performs both Maldivian and international music, its primary goal is to highlight the richness of Maldivian music to a global audience. In addition to competing on an international stage, the band aims to create opportunities and open doors for other young Maldivian artists to follow in their footsteps.
