Do you sing karaoke? Participation is open for Maldives’ biggest karaoke challenge

Participation is open for karaoke enthusiasts across the country to join Maldives Karaoke Challenge 2026, set to kick off in July.

Organized by DOT Events Maldives, the Karaoke Challenge is set to take place from July 18 – 30. Participants will be performing live before an audience at the Olympus Cinema in Male’.

According to DOT Events, the first round will take place from July 18-19, during which 60 contestants will qualify for the final shows on July 29 and 30.

To boost engagement, the 60 contestants will be selected not just by a panel of experienced judges, but also through a popular vote by viewers.

The first-place winner, the runner-up, and the second runner-up will be announced during the grand finale on July 30.

According to DOT Events, the Karaoke Challenge is set to be the biggest karaoke competition to be held in the Maldives, with the highest number of contestants.

Noting the rising popularity of karaoke within the Maldivian community, DOT Events said it wishes to provide the opportunity for karaoke enthusiasts to showcase their talents in a professional platform.
