The International Volleyball Federation FIVB Level One Coaching Course has started in Maldives with 15 Maldivian participants.
Organized by the Volleyball Association of Maldives (VAM), the course is conducted from July 27 till the end of the month, where a total of 45 participants from Asia are participating.
The course is led by G.E. Sridharan, a highly experienced and respected FIVB Instructor with years of involvement in international volleyball coaching and development.
Sridharan is assisted by experienced volleyball coaches Mohamed Nadeem, Fathuhulla Waheed, Ismail Rifau, and Nasrulla Thoha.
The main objective of the course is to increase the capacity of coaches in Maldives and Central Asia and strengthen the foundation of volleyball. It also includes improving coaching skills in Maldives and Central Asia and strengthening the core foundations of volleyball.
Participants will be taught modern coaching techniques, athlete development and essential game principles.
The course is a further step forward in the VAM's efforts to promote the sport at all levels and produce a new generation of competent volleyball coaches in Maldives.
