Barceló Nasandhura Male’ has opened its doors as the first-ever 5-star city hotel in the heart of Maldives – hailing a new era of hospitality in the Maldivian capital.

Built on the land where the iconic Nasandhura Palace Hotel once stood, the new hotel has been hailed as a new landmark in the capital.

Operated by the Spanish hotel chain, Barcelo Group, the hotel marks a significant expansion of the brand's presence in the Maldives and beyond. Barcelo Group, known for its exceptional resorts, also opened the Barcelo Whale Lagoon Maldives in South Ari Atoll last year, further solidifying its growing portfolio in the region.

In addition to its Maldivian properties, the Barcelo Group manages a number of high-profile hotels across the UAE, Thailand, and several European countries.
