Person found dead in Male

A young person has been found dead in Male’.

The body was discovered around 3:30 am this morning, in the park in front of where Dhivehi Raajeeyge Adhu was formerly located. The police have confirmed the identity of the person as Ahmed Nazeef Shaukath (21 years) H. Augusta.

Ahmed Nazeef Shaukath was discovered lying in the park by a member of the public and was taken to ADK hospital. Police have said that the doctor who examined Ahmed Nazeef Shaukath said that the he was already dead when he reached the hospital.

Police are currently investigating the incident.

Commissioner of Police Abdulla Riyaz made a tweet moments ago saying that he is aware that a fake type of the drug LSD is currently in circulation and that the police have received reports that some people have started using it. His tweet also said that it is a very strong and dangerous drug that if taken, could cause the heart to stop.
