Youth remanded for 15 days in theft of motorbike

A youth has been remanded in custody for 15 days for theft of motorbike.

In a message to the media on Monday, Police said they have arrested an individual in connection to the theft of a motorbike at Gulaabee Magu in Male’ City early Saturday morning.

The suspect arrested in the case has been identified as Ahmed Shairaf, 30, M. Maakanaa, Male’.

Criminal Court has remanded him in custody for 15 days.

The case is under investigation by the Police.

Theft and robbery cases have recently seen a significant increase in recent months.

Last week, Police arrested a man for mugging a woman on the road while on a stolen motorbike.
