Maldives’ leader extends condolences to Saudi king over passing of Princess Latifa

Maldivian President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has extended condolences to Saudi King Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, following the passing of his sister, Princess Latifa bint Abdulaziz Al Saud.

In his message on Wednesday, President Muizzu extended his deep condolences, highlighting that the cherished memories of Princess Latifa bring solace and peace during this difficult time.

The as offered heartfelt prayers for comfort and strength for King Salman and the royal family.

He also said that the government and the people of the Maldives stand united in their prayers for the departed soul.

Concluding the message, President Muizzu also prayed that Almighty Allah grants Princess Latifa eternal rest and provides strength to King Salman, the royal family and the people of Saudi Arabia to endure this great loss.

Princess Latifa was buried at Al-Oud Cemetery in Riyadh on Wednesday following the funeral prayer which took place after the noon prayer. She passed away on Tuesday.
