Foreign Minister Moosa Zameer has traveled to Bahrain on an official visit.
As per the Foreign Ministry, Minister Zameer is undertaking the visit at the invitation of his counterpart, Bahraini Foreign Minister Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani.
During this trip, the Ministry said Minister Zameer will engage in high-level discussions with his counterpart to review the longstanding bilateral relations between Maldives and Bahrain and explore avenues for future cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
Minister Zameer is also scheduled to meet with other senior officials from the Government of Bahrain, including the Minister of Finance and National Economy, the Minister of Oil and Environment and the Minister of Tourism, to explore opportunities to enhance bilateral cooperation between the two nations.
The Minister will conclude his visit on Thursday, August 15th.
He is accompanied by Ambassador-at-Large Ahmed Naseer, Secretary, Bilateral Dr. Hala Hameed, Joint Secretary Mariyam Reesha and Assistant Director, Mizna Waheed.
Notably, this year marks the 44th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
