Maldives-Saudi discuss opening Arabic Language Institute

Maldives and Saudi Arabia have discussed about opening an Arabic Language Institute in the Maldives.

Senior officials of the Ministry of Higher Education, Labour and Skills Development met with representatives of Al-Imam Mohammed Ibn Saud Islamic University for the discussions.

The ministry on X said, the initiative aims to strengthen cultural ties and enhance language proficiency that would enhance educational opportunities for the Maldivian community.

This is the first time Maldives is attempting to establish an institution specializing in providing Arabic language training.
