HRCM membership opportunity open

The Human Rights Commission of Maldives (HRCM) on Thursday announced the opportunity to run for its membership position.

President's Office said in a statement that the office has now begun accepting applications for the position of member of the HRCM, which is vacant right now.

Applications will be accepted from 08:00hrs to 12:00hrs on June 30, 2024, at President's Office reception.

Interested applicants may download the form from President's Office official website www.presidency.gov.mv or get a hard copy from the office's reception.

Current members of the commission are its President Mariyam Muna, and members, Mu'umina Waheed, Aminath Shifa'ath Abdul Razzaq, Samau Ahmed Najeeb.

Members to HRCM are appointed for a five-year term, with the option to run for the position for a second term, with terminations from the commission being the only exception to this.
