Police rescue Nepali held against will at Male’ guesthouse

Police, on Friday night, rescued a foreigner being held against will at a guesthouse in Male’ City.

The victim was identified by the Police as a Nepali man, who the Police reported was in good health.

He was held against his will at a guesthouse in Maafannu district.

Two Bangladeshi men have been arrested in connection to the case.

No further details regarding the case have been disclosed by the Police. However, officers are presently active at the scene.

Cases involving kidnapping and hostage situations have seen a concerning rise in the greater Male’ area.

Often victims are held against their will after luring them to places under various ruses and are blackmailed and robbed.
