Man found dead in Male’ home

A man was found dead in a home in Male’ City on Monday, in the second such incident in the capital within the span of a week.

A police spokesperson said the sighting of the dead body was reported to the police at around 02:20 pm on Monday.

The deceased, identified only as a male, was found in the ground floor of Rabeeu Villa, a building located in the Maafannu district of Male’.

The building was the scene of a massive fire, and was condemned to be demolished.

The police have yet to disclose any further details regarding the death.

The latest incident comes after a Bangladeshi man was found dead in a parked van outside a café in Hulhumale’ on Wednesday. The police previously said they were treating it as a suspicious death.

And on May 13, a 30-year-old Maldivian man was found dead in an apartment in Bandeyri Koshi. The police had announced plans to conduct an autopsy.
