The Asian College of Journalism of India has given the opportunity for a Maldivian journalist to participate in a training program of two weeks.
In a news release by MJA today, they said that newspaper, TV and radio journalists can participate in a training program entitled ‘Freedom and Responsibility in Media’, from 26 March to 6 April 2012.
They also said that the opportunity will be given to one journalist, by drawing lots among applicants who fulfil the criteria.
The main criteria for this program are that the applicant currently works as a journalist, has worked in a similar role for atleast two years, and his consent to participating in such training programs.
All expenses other than the travel to India will be borne by the organisers of the training program.
MJA also said thatjournalists who are interested in this training program and meet the criteria, should submit the application before 19 January.
