Scam messages being sent under ruse of post office

Maldives Police Service has cautioned the public over scam messages being sent under the ruse of Post Office to extort money.

Police, stressing they were not real messages, said they included links, which the authority advised against clicking. 

Fraudsters continue to use various platforms for scams to extort money including Facebook, Instagram, and other social media platforms, Such scams are also conducted through phone calls and text messages.

The police and other authorities continue to caution the public over such scams, urging to be vigilant.
