Rumors spread of Koli Mohamed Manik

Rumors have spread saying that Koli Mohamed Manik has resigned from the post of Chairman of Island Aviation Services (IAS) Private Limited.

Sun is informed by a reliable source that the renowned businessman and Chairman of Universal Enterprises Koli Mohamed Manik resigned from his post less than two days after Bandhu Ibrahim Saleem, who held the post of Managing Director of Island Aviation Services, was dismissed.

However, his resignation has not been confirmed by Island Aviation Services or the President’s Office.

Head of Administration of Island Aviation Services Ali Nashaath said today that he is not aware of the “official resignation” of Koli Mohamed Manik. Press Secretary of the President’s Office Mohamed Zuhair also said that he has received no information indicating the resignation of Koli Mohamed Manik.

Several sources have confirmed to Sun that Mohamed Manik has resigned from his post.

Bandhu was dismissed from his post of Managing Director of Island Aviation Services, even though he was the one to established Island Aviation Services following the bankruptcy of Air Maldives, and commenced the operation of domestic flights again. He continued to serve the company even after its most profitable divisions, namely Airport Ground Handling, Cargo and VVIP Lounge Services, were handed over the GMR.
