Shiyam appointed as Male

Sub-inspector of Police Ahmed Shiyam, who previously held the post of Police Media Official, has been appointed as Male’ Region Commander.

Shiyam confirmed that his position has been changed to Region Commander, after having served in the Police Media Unit for a long period of time.

The Acting Police Media Official Sub-inspector Hassan Haneef said today that, even though Shiyam has been transferred to another post, information required by the media from the Police will be facilitated without any disruption.

Having completed several training courses in Maldives as well as abroad, Shiyam has served well in strengthening the Police Media Unit. He is responsible for the close and positive relations between the Police and the Media.
