Man arrested in suspicion of Vilimale' rape

Police have arrested a man in suspicion of raping a 16 year old girl.

Police said that a man named Mohamed Abdul Shakoor (Age 33), G. Red Coral, was arrested in Vilimale’ and that he was arrested with the help of the information gained from the public.

The girl was raped around 1:00 pm in the afternoon yesterday while she was walking in Vilimale’. Her younger brother was with her when she was taken into a house and raped.

The police thanked the public for their support regarding the arrest.
