ACC seeks corruption charges against Guraidhoo Council's ex-pres, VP

President of Anti Corruption Commission (ACC).

The Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) has requested for corruption charges against the former president and vice president of Th. Guraidhoo council.

The commission forwarded the request to Prosecutor General’s Office, to press charges against former council president Hussain Ahadh and former vice president Mohamed Sarah, on Tuesday morning.

They are involved in the case over giving land from Guraidhoo without making any announcements regarding it.

According to ACC, their investigations revealed that these two had acted outside of the legal framework of giving land from the government to individuals.

Furthermore, as both Ahadh and Sarah’s signatures were on the documents regarding the land, investigations can confirm their involvement.
