The validity of expired driver’s license has been extended to the end of March, according to the Transport Ministry.

Transport Ministry had previously stated that expired driver’s license would only be valid until the end of February.

It announced the decision to extend the period Wednesday.

Transport Ministry temporarily halted the issuance of vehicular licenses in late January as part of preparations to use a newly developed software in an effort to improve the quality of services provided by the ministry.

In order to migrate the data to the new software – the ministry halted the issuance of licenses until February 4. Subsequently, the ministry allowed licenses that expire during the period to be used until February 14, and later, until February 28.

Transport Ministry has now digitalized vehicular license issuance services.
